Rosemary Cottage offers delightful accommodation close to the historical market town of Sanquhar, in the Dumfries & Galloway region of western Scotland...
The region is renowned for its stunning countryside. From the rocky and sandy coastline, to the lush green inland forests and rolling hills, walkers, cyclists and nature lovers are in their element here.
Sanquhar itself boasts a life museum which reveals much of the town’s history. It also claims to be home to the oldest post office in the world. Various shops can be found on the traditional High Street.
|Drumlanrig Castle is only 10miles away! One of Britain’s most majestic castles, a visit is well worth its while; with architectural and cultural tours, outdoor activities and country fairs, it’s all to see and do here!||
For the food lovers among us, the local Michelin starred Blackaddie Hotel not only offers 'some of the best food to be found in Scotland', but is also reputed as having a resident ghost!
Rosemary Cottage offers accommodation for up to 10 or more people. On the first floor there is a family room with two double beds and a single bed. This room has an ensuite bathroom, which is vast. Children, dogs and all pets are welcomed, but sorry, no cats.
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with an adjacent bathroom and shower. This bathroom/shower is shared with the resident housekeeper. Both rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and the family room has a well stocked mini bar.
At the front of the cottage there is a very pretty garden which is for the exclusive use of visitors. When the weather is fine it's a very nice place to sit in. It has a bistro table with chairs and a bench. There is ample parking at the front of the cottage.
Evening meals, packed lunches and breakfast are all available upon demand.
Although smoking is not permitted in bedrooms, visitors are welcome to smoke in the living room or the kitchen. With an open fire in the living room and a log burning stove in the kitchen no-one ever notices the smell of cigarette smoke.
